The RTTMC is a 12 month proof of concept trail that commenced 1 September 2025, with the aim of centralising approval and coordination of state highway Traffic Management Plans (TMPs). The centralisation will drive a consistent application of the risk-based approach and use of NZGTTM, supporting appropriate use of temporary traffic management across the state highway network.
